Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data yesterday, here is the break down:
The international rig count for May was 1,126, up 64 from the 1,026 counted in April, and up 159 from the 967 counted in May 2018.
Latin America is down 11 units from the previous month to 179 and is down 5 units year-over-year.
The Asia-Pacific region is down 8 units during the month to 228, and up 10 units from its year-ago average of 218.
Africa is down 3 units to 123 and up 29 units from its May 2018 average of 94.
Europe is up 4 units to reach 102 in May, and up 22 units year-over-year.
The Middle East is down 2 units month-over-month at 410, and up 9 units from its May 2018 average of 401.
