We start out with a very recent posting about Weatherford heading to sign the papers on Chapter 11, they just unveiled a brand new MPD technology (Victus Intelligent MPD) at OTC last week and this announcement came directly after, in the # 2 spot is Transoceans’s Jeremy Thigpen laying out some of the future of the offshore drilling rig at a chat last week during OTC. #3 is the closing of the Anadarko, OXY and Chevron saga with Occidental walking away as the winner. The international rig count made it into the top 5 sitting at #4 spot and finally #5 is Maersk grabbing up an LOI for the Resilient.
