The 1983 TH-2800 design semi-submersible Olinda Star seemed to be capsizing from the below photo received on December the 17th.

Photo received December 17th shows some rough water and the rig listing in the distance.

The rig had previously been evacuated due to being in cyclone Phethai approaching path.

New photos received December 19th do show in fact that the rig has a severe list, the aft main deck is near the mean sea level.Â

From what we understand a salvage team was contacted and twelve persons boarded the rig on Dec. 21, morning, and carried out the salvage operation promptly, re-stabilizing the rig as seen in the photo released below, investigations are still underway.

According to Bassoe Analytics the Olinda Star is contracted to ONGC – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited in India until Jan 16 2021.
