In an Ideal business world, there would be no errors.  But, no matter how much we try mistakes will happen.

We can however learn from our mistakes.  The trick is to have an internal system set-up so we do not do it again.

1. See what you have been doing and eliminate the steps that are the root of the errors.  For example, getting rid of hand-written paper forms.

2. Replace what you have been doing with steps that reduce the chances of errors.  For example, switching from a paper system to a digital system.

3. Practice mistake prevention by setting up systems that prevent mistakes, such as electronic forms that do not let you go to the next screen without putting in the correct term.

4. The simpler the better. Reduce mistakes and confusion by simplifying the process.

5. Warn of potential problems.  Know what problems might happen and have a system set up to warn people, for example Hard Hat Signs in Industrial Areas and Height Signs on bridges.

6. Reduce the effect that any mistakes will cause.  For example, set up shutoff valves and switches for equipment.

If you would like to eliminate errors in your Field Ticketing System I would recommend that you contact Cleargistix.
