After months of delays, bidding for chartering drilling units for water depths of 2,400 m to 3,000 m advances, launched by the oil company in October 2019.
Petrobras will contract two rigs for projects operated in consortium, one from Diamond and the other from Seadrill as reported by Brazilian news website PetroleoHoje and Brazil Energy Insight.
All of this while the CEO Roberto Castello Branco states that approximately 11,000 employees will have accepted buyout packages and will leave the firm this year or next, the Chief Executive said during an online event on Thursday.
That number, which represents about a quarter of the company's workforce, is a slight increase from the 10,000 employees that Castello Branco had said in July would depart Petroleo Brasileiro SA, as reported by Reuters.
