The international rig count for December was 665, down 4 units from the count in November and down 439 units from the 1,104 counted in December 2019.

Latin America is up 8 units to 109 from the November count of 101 units and is down 82 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region remained unchanged at 164 for the November count and down 62 units from its year-ago average of 226.

Africa is down 10 units from the November count of 63 units and down 65 units from its December 2019 average of 118.

Europe is down 4 units from the November count of 102 units, and down 42 units year-over-year.

The Middle East is up 3 units from the November count of 239 units, and down 188 units year-over-year.
