Sacanb Offshore will debut in the Brazilian drilling market in August. The Indian group signed a contract with Petrobras to charter the Sevan Developer mono-column rig.
The deal is the result of a 2020 tender by the oil company for the chartering of a drilling rig intended for operations in 2,400 m water depth.
The cylindrical semisub was bid at a low rate of USD 139,000 plus a mobilization fee of USD 7.9 million from China.
