Seadrill sells West Vigilant to PT Duta Marine

The jack-up rig West Vigilant (2008) is now being sold to PT Duta Marine in Indonesia. The sale price is $7.3 million, according to Texas bankruptcy court documents. Fearnleys receives a brokerage fee of 3.5 percent after the sale. A year ago, Seadrill announced that it could scrap up to ten rigs. West Vigilant was among these.

Transocean defers payment to JSPL for 20k drillship duo

Transocean Ltd. announced that it has agreed with Sembcorp Marine’s subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd (JSPL), on the delayed delivery of the ultra-deepwater drillships Deepwater Atlas and Deepwater Titan. As part of the agreement, JSPL has agreed to accept deferred payment for both rigs.
