
U.S. raising money for the budget with strategic petroleum reserve sale
The U.S. government has agreed to sell crude oil from the nation's emergency reserve to eight companies including Exxon, Chevron and Valero, under a scheduled auction to raise money for the U.S. budget, the Department of Energy said.

Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) activated its Hurricane Response Team as Hurricane Ida made its way through the Gulf. The Hurricane Response Team continues to monitor offshore oil and gas operators in the Gulf as they return to platforms and rigs after the storm. The team works with offshore operators and other state and federal agencies until operations return to normal.
Energean selects Halliburton for offshore Israel drilling campaign
Halliburton has been awarded an integrated services contract to execute a three to five well drilling and completions campaign for Energean, an independent E&P company focused on developing resources in the Mediterranean and the North Sea. The work follows a successful four well offshore drilling campaign that Halliburton previously executed in the Karish and Karish North gas fields.
