The international rig count for October is 800, up 13 units from the count in September and up 144 units from the 656 counted in October 2020.

Latin America is up 12 units to a total of 152 from the September count of 140 units and up 66 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is down 4 units for a total of 190 and up 20 units from its year-ago average of 170.

Africa is up 1 unit to a total of 79 from the September count of 78 units and up 25 units from its October 2020 average of 54.

Europe is down 2 units to a total of 104 from the September count of 106 units, and up 4 units year-over-year.

The Middle East is up 6 units to a total of 275 from the September count of 269 units, and down 30 units year-over-year.
