International Rig Count up 79 units since December 2018

Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the break down:

The international rig count for December was 1,104, up 10 from the 1,096 counted in November and up 79 from the 1025 counted in December 2018.

Latin America is down 5 units to 191 from November’s count of 196 units and is up 6 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is up 6 units to 226 from November’s count of 220 units and down 5 units from its year-ago average of 231.

Africa is up 2 units from November’s count of 116 units and up 10 units from its December 2018 average of 108.

Europe is down 8 units from November’s count of 147 units, and up 44 units year-over-year.

The Middle East is up 13 units month-over-month at 430, and up 36 units from its December 2018 average of 394.
