Cobalt Explorer departs South Korea

Turkey’s fourth offshore drillship, the Cobalt Explorer, departed South Korea and will arrive in the eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea in in two months according to the country’s state-owned Anadolu news agency. Enabler lines up for another approved permit with Equinor

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Equinor a drilling permit for well 7220/8-3 in production license PL 532. The well will be drilled at location 72° 26' 57.11'' N  20° 20' 36.82'' E by the Transocean Enabler semi-sub. Expected spud date is April 2022. Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has given ConocoPhillips consent for exploration drilling in production license PL 1064 in the Norwegian Sea. Exploration well 6507/4-3 S will be drilled by the Transocean Norge at location 65°33'3.7559'' North 7°03'28.6789'' East, to test a prospect named Peder.
