According to Esgian, an Oslo based company that provides analytical tools for the energy industry, noted that Constellation has been declared the winner of Petrobras' low spec tender with semisubmersible Gold Star and Lone Star.
The low spec tender is expected to commence in Q2 2022 with a contract duration of 730 days or 1095 days, with an option to extend to 1460 or 1645 days.
Although Constellation did not offer in the most competitive rates, it won ahead of both Sacanb and Petroserv. Sacanb offered in the semisub Bluewhale II, but was disqualified as the company did not have the required documentation. Ventura Petroleo offered in the SSV Catarina but the rig was considered too expensive during negotiations.
