
The total value of contracts and extensions awarded to Maersk Drilling in Q1 2019 was USD 72 m. As of March 31 2019 the contract backlog amounted to USD 2.2 bn.
Highlights:
- Maersk Deliverer- Awarded a 3 year contract with IPEX in Australia, plus two one year options, with a total contract value of 300 million US, expected commencement Q2 2020
- Maersk Viking- Awarded a one well contract with 3 one well options with AGM Petroleum Ghana, one of the three options has been exercised.
- Maersk Discoverer- Awarded a 100 day extension of the rig’s current contract with BP Egypt, which will keep the rig working until end of October 2019.
