Noble said in its fleet status report published on Monday, the 2014-built Noble Tom Madden drillship had been awarded a one-year contract with ExxonMobil in Guyana. The contract duration is from mid-February 2019 to mid-February 2020. The rig’s dayrate has not been disclosed.
According to information on Bassoe Analytics, the contract starts on February 16, 2019, and the estimated dayrate is $160,000.
The rig’s previous contract with ExxonMobil, which expires in mid-February, started in late October 2018 when the drillship arrived in Guyana. It was used to drill the Pluma 1 prospect in early November.
This puts 7 of Noble’s Drillships contracted up until April 2019, with a utilization of 75% until Feb 2020 for the rest of the fleet, looks like a good year ahead for Noble and their interested parties.
