PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) signed a contract to supply PV Drilling III jack-up rig for Nhat Viet Petroleum Company Limited (“JVPC”) . Accordingly, PV Drilling III drilling rig will implement the drilling program of JVPC including 3 wells and 1 optional well at Lot 15-2, off the coast of Vietnam .
Currently, PV Drilling III rig is serving the drilling campaign with 5 developed wells of KrisEnergy in Cambodia. This is the first oil exploitation project of the country of Cambodia and PV Drilling III rig has the honor to contribute to exploiting the first oil tanks at the offshore oil field, near the southwest coast of Vietnam on December 29 /. 2020, 2 months after the start of the drilling campaign. Cambodia is a completely new market for PV Drilling because this is the first drilling contract of PV Drilling in the country of the pagoda and also the first oil exploitation project of Cambodia. Therefore, in order to implement this drilling campaign, PV Drilling actively prepared all phases from machinery, equipment and necessary personnel to move from Vietnam toto ensure that the drilling program is carried out safely and effectively, on schedule without being affected by disease events, current quarantine policies and restraining orders in the area of ??operation.
