Talos banks big on GoM deepwater
Talos Energy announced that it was named as the apparent high bidder in the Outer Continental Shelf Federal Lease Sale 257 on ten deepwater blocks comprising 57,600 gross acres, or 36,720 net acres, for a net total consideration of approx. $4.8 million.
Lukoil announces discovery in GoM
LUKOIL announces discovery of an oil field within the Yoti West structure at Block 12 offshore Mexico. The field was discovered after drilling the first exploration well. According to preliminary estimates, the initial oil in place reaches 250 million barrels.
Deepsea Yantai books three more wells with Neptune Energy
Neptune Energy today it has extended a contract for Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Yantai drilling rig, to include three additional wells in the Norwegian North Sea next year.
