The Daily Sabah published the following information concerning the possible addition of a fourth Deepwater vessel to TPAO (Turkish Petroleum Corporation)
“The Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) is said to be very close to reaching an agreement for a deep-water drilling vessel that would arrive from Norway, reports said Tuesday. It is said to be purchased from the Norwegian rig company Dolphin Drilling, according to Norwegian newspaper Finansavisen.”
The Daily Sabah did not mention a vessel name, but it is more than likely the Bolette Dolphin which was selling for a much higher rate in 2018
VesselsValue is said to value the drilling vessel at $95 million, but the price being negotiated has not been disclosed as of yet.
The Bolette Dolphin is a 6th generation ultra-deepwater drillship that was delivered from South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2014 and has been cold stacked for some time now awaiting a buyer.
The last operating contract was in Columbia for Anadarko in July 2018
