According to Esgian, an Oslo based company that provides analytical tools for the energy industry noted that Transocean has confirmed discussions with Petrobras for a "long-term" extension for its drillship Petrobras 10000 to continue operations offshore Brazil. The rig is currently on hire with the operator but is due to conclude its charter in September. Meanwhile, the driller also confirms that it is in negotiations with Total for a potential 6-well extension for drillship Deepwater Skyros, which is expected to last for more than a year. The rig's current deal is scheduled to end in November.
