Transocean recently announced that the drydocking for the 8th generation Deepwater Titan has been completed in Singapore at the Sembcorp facilities. It will soon be heading into its next phase moving out to sea.
The Deepwater Titan and the Deepwater Atlas are currently the only two 8th generation vessels under construction and will be the only ones on the market once they both go into operation.
Both vessels will be equipped with 20K BOP systems and have long term contracts in place with Beacon and Chevron in the US GoM.
