According to Esgian, an Oslo based company that provides analytical tools for the energy industry noted that Vantage Drilling confirmed that it has received conditional letters of award (LOA) for its jackups Aquamarine Driller and Sapphire Driller for two-to-three-year deals in the "Middle East". The two rigs are set to begin the new deals, which have a combined value of $157 million, during the first quarter of 2022. The operator has not been disclosed however both ADNOC and Qatar Petroleum have multi-year, multi-rig tenders out for rigs in the region.
Meanwhile, Vantage has also secured a short-term contract for its jackup Topaz Driller with APO offshore Tunisia. The rig is currently operating offshore Montenegro for Eni and is due to finish the deal in Q3 this year when it will mobilize for the new deal.
