The international rig count for September was 702, down 45 units from the count in August and down 429 units from the 1,131 counted in September 2019.

Latin America is up 8 units to 83 from the August count of 76 units and is down 106 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is down 31 units to 169 from the August count of 200 units and down 57 units from its year-ago average of 226.

Africa is down 7 units from the August count of 62 units and down 60 units from its September 2019 average of 115.

Europe is up 4 units from the August count of 109 units, and down 63 units year-over-year.

The Middle East is down 19 units from the August count of 301 units, and down 143 units year-over-year.
