Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the break down:
The international rig count for January was 1,078, down 26 units from the count in December and up 54 from the 1024 counted in January 2019.
Latin America is down 12 units to 179 from December’s count of 191 units and is down 16 units year-over-year.
The Asia-Pacific region is down 4 units to 222 from December’s count of 226 units and down 6 units from its year-ago average of 232.
Africa is down 4 units from December’s count of 118 units and up 5 units from its January 2019 average of 109.
Europe is down 6 units from December’s count of 133 units, and up 47 units year-over-year.
The Middle East sits at 430, up 28 units from its January 2019 average of 402.
