Worldwide Rig Count Update

According to Baker Hughes data that was published on December 7th, 2018

At the end of 2017 the worldwide rig count was 2089

The chart below shows the change from month to month during 2018 up until the end of November 2018

For the past 12 months on record, it shows an increase of 177 rigs worldwide!

That is a 8.47% increase from 2017 year end.

Although we are seeing some larger drops in the North America region with Canada being the biggest reduction target at the moment with 80 rigs down from January 2018 to November 2018 but we want to remind readers that this count from December of 2017  to November 2018 only shows a reduction of 7 units, in all respects not bad for a full year.

  Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the breakdown:   The international rig count for February is 930, up 15 units from the count in February and up 115 units from the 815 counted in February 2022.   Africa is up 3 units to 97 from the February count of 94 and up 10 units from its year ago average of 87.   The Asia-Pacific region is up 7 units to 209 from the February count of 202 units and is up 22 units from its year-ago average of 187.   Europe is up 7 units to 118 from the February count of 111 and up 40 units from its year ago average of 78.   Latin America is up 2 units to 183 from the February count of 181 and is up 23 units year over year.   The Middle East is down 4 units to 323 from the February count of 327 and up 20 units year over year.   Source: Baker   Join our mailing list here We are #1 on Google and Bing for the "Largest Mobile Energy Network" Come join our community!   Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the breakdown:   The international rig count for February is 915, up 14 units from the count in January and up 102 units from the 813 counted in February 2022   Africa is up 2 units to 94 from the January count  of 92 and up 11 units from its year ago average of 81   The Asia-Pacific region is down 2 units to 202 from the January count of 204 units and is up 12 units from its year-ago average of 190   Europe is down 6 units to 111 from the January count of 117 and up 9 units from its year ago average of 102   Latin America is up 11 units to 181 from the January count of 170 and is up 28 units year over year   The Middle East is up 9 units to 327 from the January count of 318 and up 40 units year over year   Source: Baker   Join our mailing list here We are #1 on Google and Bing for the "Largest Mobile Energy Network" Come join our community!   Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data, here is the breakdown:   The international rig count for January is 901, is up 1 unit from the count in December and up 60 units from the 841 counted in January 2022.   Africa is unchanged at 92 units from the December count and up 6 units from its year ago average of 86.   The Asia-Pacific region is up 7 units to 204 from the December count of 197 units and is up 7 units from its year-ago average of 197.   Europe is up 2 units to 117 from the December count of 115 and up 6 units from its year ago average of 111.   Latin America is down 3 units to 170 from the December count of 173 and is up 12 units year over year.   The Middle East is down 5 units to 318 from the December count of 323 and up 29 units year-over-year.   Join our mailing list here We are #1 on Google and Bing for the "Largest Mobile Energy Network" Come join our community!
