According to Esgian, an Oslo based company that provides analytical tools for the energy industry, noted that market sources indicate that Shelf Drilling jackup Compact Driller has been secured for a four-well contract by Cairn India, which is expected to last for around six months. Work will be undertaken in the CB/OS-2 block in the Cambay Basin. The rig has now left the UAE where it has been stacked since finishing its last contract with ADNOC back in July and is now headed for the west coast of India.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Shelf Drilling jackup Rig 141 will now likely stay on hire with Gempetco offshore Egypt for longer than anticipated and is likely to remain working with the operator until early December.
