Baker Hughes issued their international rig count data last week, here is the break down:
The worldwide rig count for February was 2,306, up 41 from the 2,265 counted in January, and up 35 from the 2,271 counted in February 2018.
Latin America is down 13 units from the previous month to 182 and is down 17 units year-over-year.
The average US rig count for February was 1,049, down 16 from the 1,065 counted in January, and up 80 from the 969 counted in February 2018. The average Canadian rig count for February was 230, up 54 from the 176 counted in January, and down 93 from the 323 counted in February 2018.
The Asia-Pacific region is up 8 units during the month to 240, and up from its year-ago average of 210.
Africa is up 4 units to 113 and up from its February 2018 average of 90.
Europe is up 8 units to reach 94 in February, and up 10 units year-over-year.
The Middle East is down 4 units month-over-month at 398, and down from its February 2018 average of 396.
